Steven LaRosa pitched seven no-hit innings for 22nd-seeded Somerset Tech and struck out nine while allowing two earned runs and two walks to defeat 27th-seeded Piscataway Magnet 7-3 in the quarterfinals of the GMC Invitational in Bridgewater. Somerset Tech (9-5) sported a 4-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning before Piscataway Magnet (9-5) cut it to a one-run game. However, Somerset Tech answered with three more runs the rest of the way. Robert Pasquale recorded two singles while Liam Hanily had an RBI for Somerset Tech.
